It’s a simple
story really, I have had 27 years of experience with British
Gas with the best mates imaginable, People have moved on, I
have moved on and I have created a future with a bit more oomph.
My own company “Technical Home Services”
I have vast experience in engineering, customer relations,
recruitment, training, development and management. However,
what drives me is a different thing entirely. I just love getting
out and about and helping our customers. You really can’t beat the buzz
of turning up at someone’s house and diagnosing / repairing
a problem that has really been stressing them out and then
putting a smile back on people’s faces.
Technical Home Services will always Endeavour to do the right
thing and will always find a solution to a technical problem,
will always offer the best advice and we are investing
in the latest technology.
I come from the best background in training possible, and
had a involvement in providing engineer development in
South Lakes and Lancaster surrounding areas. It was my
responsibility for technical support and customer satisfaction
before moving into Project Management with the British
Gas Engineering Academy.
Nobody knows everything. One thing I taught engineers was
always trying to get the job right 1st time, but sometimes
especially with electronics and mechanics this is not always
possible, intermittent faults have become more common nowadays
and this is where job ownership comes in, it may involve asking
for manufacture assistance but as a customer you can be assured
we will not let you down.
Over the years its been hard work, always wanting to learn
and develop, I have a range of higher engineering and management
qualifications, but with an added bonus of being technical
competent and in touch with people. There are not many who
can say that and I am proud of that fact.
I hope to take on and develop engineers from the local areas
.
The service I am providing is unique. We will provide and
concentrate on breakdowns , diagnostics, servicing and
providing advice and solutions on how to make your heating
systems more efficient and reliable.

Ambition Energy
Ambition Energy programme was launched by Tony
Blair, I managed the programme for British Gas in the North
of England and Scotland and eventually nationally, re-skilling
and developing over 300 trainees and bringing them into employment. This
involved those who were unemployed, made redundant ,disabaled,
redunancy, lone parents and people from disadvantage backgrounds.
Ambition: Energy is the government's flagship welfare-to-work
programme, and was launched in June 2002. Its overall target
was 4,500 jobs created over a three-year period and was
very demanding. The programme brings together the National
Employment panel, Jobcentre Plus, employers, Energy & Utility
Skills, colleges and the Learning and Skills Council through
a coordinated approach.
It was a privilege to manage utilising engineering colleges
nationally which gave huge job satisfaction in developing
candidates into engineering in the domestic engineering
market.
